Campbell 66 was a big part of my growing up. My Dad was Emmett "One Stop" Hill. My Uncle was Harold Hill,I think He was Rolla Terminal Manager. My Wife Betty Hill was working in "Collections" when the doors closed. My Family operated the old "Jewell Green" restaurant to the west of the Sporingfield terminal.
Here is a link to a picture of me with my C-66 truck in '50s. My Grandmother won it at the Grand Opening of the new Springfield Terminal. Also a picture of my Dad Emmett Hill:

My dad worked out of the Tulsa, Oklahoma terminal for over 35 years. (Ken (Red) Allgood) He always had a great respect and love for Campbell "66" . He always told me that Mr. Campbell valued his employees,over everything else. Making the statement to them; "You are Campbell "66" Express, not me,you are the people out on the street everyday that our customers see. You are Campbell "66", I'm just some old man that owns the company in Springfield."
I've always felt great pride for my dad and the company that feed and housed us kids.

Enjoyed this site! My dad is a retired C66 driver out of the Memphis terminal. I remember dropping him off for runs and picking him up on his return. My brothers and I grew up around all of the drivers, dock workers, and managers there. I'm sure my dad would love to share stories with any of you who might be interested.
