I love it! <br /><br />It reminds me of Norman Rockwell when he was stumped for an illustration for the Saturday Evening Post. He ended up illustrating his &quot;lack of an idea&quot; - painting himself at the drawingboard with a blank canvas! <br /><br />Well, writing is just like playing an instrument or painting... or any other artform I suppose. <br /><br />It is the daily practice, perfecting of skills so to speak, that makes it possible to even have a reportoire to &quot;perform&quot; on that daily basis.<br /><br />Daily practice has to become habitual. You must go off with your instrument, sit down, and write - scales, arpeggios, etudes... anything! <br /><br />Eventually, your prtice time does indeed become something that you MUST do. It is a part of your routine. <br /><br />Not only have you developed this daily routine, thanks to the disciplined practice time, but you are progressing steadily. You notice that you are clearly better today than you were a few months ago.<br /><br />Of course, as with anything that one does, you do need a scheduled break - a brief interlude from your practice, in order to remain fresh and rested.
