Bluebirds and Golf

Bluebirds of Happiness

Happiness is watching bluebirds.
Recently Mr. Bruce found an old birdhouse that his step-dad had built many years ago. (Fun what neat stuff one finds when cleaning.) He honestly didn't think it would attract birds, but it was fun to try. Lo and behold, a beautiful Eastern Bluebird daddy came calling in a few days. The next day mama bluebird signed the lease and started moving her in bedroom furniture, one tiny twig at a time.
The Eastern Bluebird is Missouri's state bird, so I have seen many through the years. However, this is the very first time I've had a bluebird house to watch. They fascinate me. Every time I see them, especially the male, I am amazed at their beauty.
Naturally, we named them. He is Frank (Sinatra) and she is Doris (Day). One of Sinatra's nicknames was "old blue eyes" and we all know what a classy dresser he was. Doris Day often played a housewife, keeping the house in order and raising kids while smiling. They both sang like angels. They still sing a lot at our house via CDs and SiriusXM radio.

Happiness is watching golf
Happier still is Tiger Woods winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational. What a match, I watched most of it, had to check on basketball ever so often. I was barely breathing by the 18th hole; when Tiger won, I cried. I am a true blue Tiger fan.
Arnold Palmer is a national treasure, period! He joined the announcers in the booth for a short interview about the tournament. Mr. Palmer told about the astonishing good things happening at the "Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies". He and his wife are remarkable people, giving back to the community is important to them.
Happiness is Mr. Bruce is feeling better.
