The Vintage Butterfly

Kimber Ott is having a birthday, let's all sing "Happy Birthday". She is the young woman is dark pink top. This picture was taken at her Grandmother's 90th birthday party. Kimber is like a daughter, her Mom Georgia is one of my "Bestest Friends", as Jeanne Robertson would say. I am very proud of her.
Last Saturday Mr. Bruce and I went to the Grand Opening of her new store, The Vintage Butterfly. It is a lovely, unique gift shop that specializing in vintage items. The opening sentence of the Welcoming message expresses it best:
Welcome to The Vintage Butterfly. We believe in Re-purposing and Recycling...therefore we are a Vintage Shop that takes a tired piece of furniture and breathes new life in to it!
Kimber and her daughter Alisha are partners in this new adventure. The setting for the store is perfect! It is an older house in the small town of Rogersville, MO. You feel as you have come to Grandma's house for a cup of tea. I understand the girls worked for months getting the place in order. I also know friends were recruited to help out, which they cheerfully did. Please check the site for more info. Many items will also be for sale online. (note: site and shop are new and still being added to regularly.)
Kimber is a very talented designer. She has lovely floral arrangements featured through-out the different rooms. The displays are artistic and inviting, so take you time to browse.
A large sun room will be used for parties. Especially "dress-up" parties for little girls. There is a closet full of gowns, fancy dresses, hats, etc so each girl can choose her own outfit. Can't you just hear the giggles now?
If you have chance to stop in, please tell them hi from Linda.
